Kiosk-mode means Wired is configured for semi-attended payments.
Kiosk mode makes sure your customers only sees exactly what they need – the payment transaction screen. The device also locks down the card machine, which means customers can’t access back office features, like refunds.
Troubleshooting Steps for Your Card Machine
If you're experiencing issues with your Wired card machine, please follow these steps to try and resolve the problem:
Check Airplane Mode
- Ensure that airplane mode is not enabled on your card machine.
Reboot the Card Machine
- Hold down the power button and select "Reboot" to restart your card machine.
- After rebooting, try a test transaction to see if the issue is resolved.
Check Your Connection Type
- Determine if your card machine is connected via WiFi or Ethernet.
- If possible, switch to the opposite connection type (e.g., if using WiFi, switch to Ethernet, and vice versa).
- Attempt a test transaction after changing the connection type.
If Using WiFi
- Verify your WiFi connection. Check if other devices are connected to the same WiFi network and working properly.
