Our default security checks help to reduce the likelihood of fraudulent transactions and receiving a chargeback. Below we have included some of the security measures we enforce to protect our customers.
Address verification service (AVS)
This check compares the billing address used in the transaction with the address information held on file for that cardholder by the issuing bank.
Card Verification Value (CVV)
This is the three or four digit code that appears on a debit or credit card. This checks that the CVV on the card matches the details entered when completing the transaction. This helps to ensure that the cardholder is in physical possession of the card at the time of purchase.
3D Secure Software (3DS)
This is a check where the cardholder is redirected to their issuing bank to authorise the transaction. Cardholders will be asked to identify themselves, often using a code or password. Once this is passed, the transaction will be successful.
