We may also adjust our prices to reflect changes made by Visa and Mastercard to industry fees so that we can offer you the UK’s leading card payments service.

Is my plan price changing?
If your price plan is changing, we’ll email you at least 2 months’ notice in advance with information about the new price and when the change will happen.
What fees do the Card Schemes charge?
Visa and Mastercard set Interchange and Assessment fees, which make up a proportion of the total price you pay per card transaction. Details of current card Schemes fees are availablehere.
Interchange fees are industry-wide charges paid to the card issuer (the cardholder’s bank) and can vary depending on the type of transaction and the type of card. Assessment fees (including Specific Assessment Fees) are fees paid by the acquirer to the card schemes on each transaction.
Why is the Authorisation Fee being replaced by the new Secure Transaction Fee?
We’re updating our Authorisation fee to a Secure Transaction fee, to offer your business enhanced protection and help bolster payment security with added safety measures every time you process a transaction:
- Our best-in-class fraud detection algorithm reduces fraud losses by an average of 45%
- Point-to-point encryption as standard for in-person payment provide significantly reduced financial exposure from a data breach
- Super-simple PCI compliance tools save you time reporting PCI compliance
The Secure Transaction fee incurs 20% VAT. So, if you’re VAT registered, this fee may be tax deductible. Speak to your accountant for more information.
